Lake Maggiore

A stretch of water surrounded by the Alps, a perfect mix of nature, culture and fun: this is Lake Maggiore! Stresa, famous in the world as the "Pearl of Lake Maggiore", is one of the most important villages in the area.

From Stresa you can easily reach the Borromean Islands by boat.

Isola Madre is a unique destination for nature and flowers lovers and Isola Pescatori is famous for its hamlet and secrets spots. 

Mount Mottarone, the "Mount of 7 lakes", dominates Stresa. From its top you can admire an incredible view on 7 lakes and the Swiss and Italian Alps. 

In the lower region of Lake Maggiore you will find Arona with the majestic "San Carlone", a statue of the town’s patron saint San Carlo and Angera with its fortress.
